Deposits & Payments
A deposit of one night’s stay plus taxes is required at the time of reservation and is charged to the credit card you provide. Guests staying one night will need to pay their reservation in full at time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of check-in and will be charged to the card on file unless other payment arrangements have been made.
Only two guests per room unless indicated within the room description. For your convenience, WiFi is always available.
Well behaved children over the age of 6 are welcome. Children can be accommodated as an additional guest in either Carol's Suite or Loretta's Lounge.
Check-In & Check-Out Policy
Check-In time is between the hours of 4pm and 8pm.
Check-Out time is any time before 11am.
Only one WELL BEHAVED pet per weekend is permitted. There is an extra $25 per night charge for a pet in the room and pets can only be accommodated in Loretta's Lounge or Carol's Suite. Guests must always take their pet with them when they leave the house and must travel with a bed or crate for the pet to sleep on/in. Pets are not permitted in beds. We are sorry, but we can not accept cats (allergy issues).
Reservations cancelled up to 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival are refunded LESS $50 per room cancelled. The entire deposit will be forfeited if you cancel 14 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival. Certain weekends require a 4 week cancellation policy. (this is usually Bard College graduation which is Memorial Day weekend). Reservations for three or more rooms carry a 4 week cancellation policy.
Due to the historic nature of our home, we are not accessible to guests with disabilities that would prohibit climbing stairs. Entrance to the Inn is at the top of several stairs and all of our guest rooms are located on the second and third floors. As we are an accommodation of five rooms or less we are exempt from the requirements of the ADA.
We recognize the importance of our website being accessible to all and are currently working on revisions and to bring our website up to current ADA compliance regulations. Towards that end, we are working to improve the accessibility of our website, and comply with the WCAG 2.0 guidelines. Our main purpose in collecting your personal information is to provide you with a streamlined experience in making reservations at The Grand Dutchess. We only collect information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this. Personally identifiable information is only obtained when making a reservation. All identifiable information provided will not be disclosed to anyone unless we are specifically requested to do so. The Grand Dutchess does not give or sell to anyone any information we collect on our site. We sometimes use data collection devices such as "cookies" on certain pages of the Site to measure effectiveness and safety. A "cookie" is a small file that gets placed on your harddrive that helps us provide our services. You are free to decline cookies if you choose too.
At The Grand Dutchess, we take security seriously. When users make a reservation we use every precaution to safe guard it online and offline. Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
The Grand Dutchess may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment, business needs, or to satisfy the needs of our guests, properties, strategic marketing partners, and service providers.
